Hello! We have pulled the trigger on a Reflection 303RLS, picking up Feb 2 then shakedown camp weekend Very excited...it is our first 5th wheel and first GD. Trading a Jayco WhiteHawk TT. Blown away by the quality of GD. We camp at least 1x/month in Texas State Parks.

Congratulations! Last Summer we stepped up from an entry level Keystone Springdale 5th wheel, still pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming while we are out in the Reflection. We really like everything about it. Who are you purchasing through? We got ours from Creastview in Buda. Whoever it is, ask that they pull the wheels and drums to check for leaking grease seals and contaminated brakes during the prep of the trailer (or pull them yourself when you get it home). Experience on this forum, is that it has been uncommon to see the grease on the wheels, so don't let them try to use that as an excuse to not pull things apart. My brakes on the curbside were heavily fouled with grease, nothing on the wheels.

As to the State Parks, I'm there with you! Texas has a great system. I take a 3-day weekend at least once a month (whether I need it or not!) and mostly use the State Parks, but starting to explore the COE parks as well. We were at Pedernales Falls SP for New Years, had to cancel at Cedar Hill SP for this weekend due to conflicts. Lake Georgetown COE in February, Ray Roberts SP for Spring Break in March, Palmetto SP in April, Inks Lake SP in May for Memorial Day weekend! June is likely a trip to Indiana to see my wife's sister and her family, 20 minutes from Elkhart! Hope to do the GD factory tour, considering making arrangements with MORryde for them to install their Independent Suspension and disk brakes. Very tempting!

Thanks everyone for the welcome! We bought the 303 from ExploreUSA in Boerne. There were a couple of snags but I must say, the ExploreUSA group (shout out to Art Calderon) did a great job making things right. I've seen bad ratings/comments about them, but I give them high marks for taking care of us. PDI went great. We did look at the wheels/brakes & no grease..YAY (will keep an eye on it...luckily husband is mechanically inclined).

Off we went for shakedown trip to Guadalupe River SP..something close to home. It was a cold/rainy/drizzly weekend so we spent most of our time going through/purging/putting away all of our stuff. There was another Reflection in the park but because of the weather, we weren't able to stop & say hi. We had one real issue...the furnace worked 1st day but wouldn't light 2nd day...the purge would come on then it would shut off. Will check it next trip (have seen intermittent happenings reported here) and if problem persists, it will be on the warranty fix list. Luckily, we shouldn't have much more cold weather for it to be necessary. We're figuring out our new routine with packing/hitching/unhitching/set-up..but love, love, love the new rig!!!!
