Any reason why you didn't put the Trimetic in with the inverter monitor, I know depth is tight in there but can it be a recessed mount?

few more solar questions
schematic:
-before I start drilling holes, I'm hoping to see a detailed a schematic. Panel/charge controller/battery/inverter seems pretty straight forward, but looking to see if anyone has a drawing showing everything else including the battery cutoff/selector, fuses, switching between shore power & solar, etc.
-Inverter-Any features besides remote display, pure sign wave. I'm looking at the AIMS 3000W, it has a direct connect point in case you want to power something larger than the 15 amp outlet can handle.
-Batteries-will replace the OEM 12 volt with two AGM 12volts. For space considerations, thinking of installing another below floor battery box on the curb side which will also help with weight distribution. Problem I see is my battery cables become much longer. Is it better to give up the space and put them both in a battery box?
Thanks,

Björn's RV Solar Project (plus other upgrades)
Sorry, I don't have a schematic other than in my brain. The second LoveYourRV link in post #2 has a good schematic.
If you plan to run Inverter while solar charging, make sure the inverter can handle higher battery voltages...Handy Bob discusses this in his blog (which I recommend you read thoroughly)

My battery disconnect is on Negative leg.
That schematic shows on positive leg.
Maybe one of the smart electrical guys can weigh in...

My inverter diagram shows it on the positive side (Magnum Energy MSH3000). I'm assuming it is this way to make sure it is truly disconnected. If you switch the ground, you could, theoretically still have a ground from the other components in the system. Anyone want to verify or correct me?

My thought process was this:
1. Already have factory battery disconnect in garage that is on positive leg
2. The factory cutoff leaves certain circuits hot (CO detection, not sure what else). It will drain battery even with battery "disconnected" with factory cutoff
3. I have all protective fuses on positive leg
4. When working on battery bank, I want a quick negative disconnect
What say you electricians out there?

I agree with Wiz about the ground.
Also, I don't think I saw it on there, you may want to consider a disconnect switch before the charge controller Sri y can take the panels offline if you have to service the controller.Curtis, Christine, Cole, and Charlotte
