Just bought my first Travel Trailer

So my wife and I just purchased our first travel trailer, and after much research we decided Grand Design was the brand we were looking for. We purchased a 2016 Grand Design Imagine 2600RB. We are so excited to get on the road and enjoy this beautiful coach together. I have a lot of questions and a lot to learn but I heard the Grand Design owners forum was one of the best.

A suggestion. For your first campout park in your own driveway. Everything you forgot to bring will be close at hand, and if you wish you were home because you are newbie, you are already there.

Some helpful advice: Paint the foot of your tongue jack bright red so that it's obvious that it's down. Silver blends in with old asphalt. You'd be surprised how many TT owners had tried to drive off with their tongue jack down for whatever reason. I did it the first time out because I wasn't on level ground at the campsite, so I decided to go to the dump station to put the weight distributing bars on. It was hot and humid so I had sweat rolling down my face and into my eyes while I was emptying my tanks, and after dumping I didn't see that I forgot to raise the jack back up. I ended up bending the shaft, and you can't just get a replacement part. It cost me $300 to replace the jack.

The two TT owners behind me were upset at what was taking so long until they were told what happened, and both of them said that they've done the same thing.

Welcome! Glad to have you in the forum. We're sure you'll love your new Imagine.

I think you'll find this an amenable group... The worst argument has been over whether 1 entry door or 2 is the better arrangement.
