I'll be following this thread too. We too are planning an Alaska trip next summer. We're heading to the East Coast to visit family for Easter. In mid May we're heading west to Glacier NP then up to Alaska.

Update. Finally got our 399th and loving it. Couldn't plan Alaska for this summer as our business or just too busy right now. I'm planning for next summer though. I'm going to start making reservations now. Any other must see places from Texas? Can't wait. We're very excited.

So from Austin, Texas in think of hanging a left to Phoenix---Grand Canyon---Yellowstone---Grand Tetons. What am I missing near that route in the US?

Great Trip. From Austin to Phoenix to the Grand Canyon, up to Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons to Yellowstone over to Cody across to Little Big Horn then to Mt. Rushmore then back to Austin. Hopefully we'll be able to take the trip again once the grand girls get a little older.

Well, we are on our way back to Alaska from Oklahoma. Currently at Emigrant Springs State Park at Pendleton Or, via Black Hills, Yellowstone and points along the way. Cross over into Canada from Washington in three days. Second driving trip, fifth over all. I’m thinking we may like Alaska! Go for it!

Anyone have suggestions for RV parks outside of Yellowstone, grand teton and Glacier national park? My RV won't fit in them.
