    Camera connection 397th

We just ordered the 2017 Momentum 397th. We attempted to add the rear camera as an option. I was told by the dealer it wasn't available so fine, I'll put one in myself. Then I got to thinking is the camera prep not on there any longer. I don't get a good answer from my dealer, so I thought I'd ask this group. Does anyone know if a new build unit will have the camera prep on it? It is still listed as a standard item on the website.

You'd have to call GD to make sure, but I'll bet it's still available. I suspect your dealer wants to install their own, because they make more $$$.$$ of of it.

Our 377 MBS-r built 1 month ago came with the prep. Battery shutoff does not turn it off so I spliced into running lights. Installed the GMC camera that integrates into my truck display.

    Good Afternoon,
All of our units are pre-wired for the rear back up camera. Our campers are designed to work with the Furrion camera model #FRC12TA-BL. These will plug right into the housing that is on your rear wall.
I have copied and pasted a link to the Furrion website that offers details on the camera, http://furrion.com/product/camera-sy...camera-system/. I hope this helps

    Missy,

I have a Solitude 310 on order. I have the rear camera system from Ford. The system is integrated into the Ford monitoring system. No separate screen. It comes with its own cable that runs all the way to the front pin box and plugs into my F350. Also includes a tire monitoring system. I assume the Furrion is wireless and the camera prep is a mount with power. Any recommendations on how to run the Ford cable the length of the trailer? Is there any channel I can take advantage of? May be something that GD should consider since Fords are so popular for towing.

    Thanks

    Mark
