Satellite And Solar Wires Run Together, Interference?

Here's a question I couldn't find the answer to using search. When roof mounting solar and a satellite dish, if you use the same routing for both, will the solar wires possibly cause interference with the satellite cables? I don't have my Reflection 337 yet but eventually plan to roof mount both solar and satellite. Hoping to use same access path/roof penetration for both.

    Thanks in advance, Erick

Not likely. Solar should be basically a DC signal while the satellite is in the GHz range. Satellite should be shielded coax so it would be hard to induce a signal onto that line.

With DC current, probably not. AC current might be an issue.

It is fairly common to run 48 volt (injected as high as 57 volts DC) power over ethernet (PoE) in the same run as not only other ethernet but also other AV stuff such as speaker wire and coax. Code only mentions running next to line voltage or higher. Obviously use shielded cable and you shouldt have any issues.

Given the proflileration of streaming TV services you may want to future proof yourself with a ethernet wire as well. This way you can add network gear on the roof such as a long range wifi antenna.

Everything should work well. Post some pictures, will be fun to see how you routed the cables.
