Refrigerator LP usage????

Just Krusen, curious if you tested it out on your trip. Would like to know the results.

Unfortunately we forgot. We did have the fridge on gas during the 4 travel days and both bottles are still almost full.

I found this comment on facebook. It's in line with what I noticed.

"The double door Norcold uses 3,000 BTUs when the unit is cooling. A pound of propane has approx 21,500 BTUs or about 7 hours per pound assuming the refrig boiler is running 100% of the time. A 30 pound tank, with the boiler running 100% of the time will last 8 days."

When I posted that is was in response to whether or not two tanks would last ten days. In the real world unless you are camped in the desert I would expect 30 pounds to last a lot longer than 8 days. Only in extreme environments would the boiler be firing 100% of the time.
