    Custom dryer vent install?

I have a Momentum 399, the washer h/u's are located between the bathroom door and kitchen to garage door. There is no factory vent location for a dryer. I would like something as flush mounted as possible. Lowes makes a recessed vent box, however it is 4" deep and the depth of the studs in my wall is about 2.75".

I know i can just drill a hole in the floor, but i want the washer as close to the wall as possible. Anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking of one of those rectangular periscoping transition duct boxes and mount it in the wall as a possible option.

    Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We use the ventless Splendide. Moisture is condensed and pumped into grey tank or sewer

We did consider that route, but we chose the vented knowing we would have to figure out the vent line.

There isn't a way to shorten the recessed vent to match the wall depth?

I dont think so, see the picture below for the vent box i originally wanted to use. It would have been perfect, but too thick. There is a hole in the top for the vent line, i was going to flip it over and discharge out the bottom.

Some dryers have a knock out in the floor of the dryer. They also have a knock out on one side, so you could go down through the floor.

I looked up your model number. Here is your service manual.

I don't think there is another port to vent from. I think I would still go to the floor. The dryer is barely going to get the water into a vapor stage.

That service manual looks helpful, thanks. I think the easiest approach will be through the floor in front of the wall. Ill most likely make some type of enclosure to cover the gap between the washer and wall; that should provide more stability and it will look better. This route will also allow me to drill through the part of the floor that is not in the underbelly (i think, i need to verify).
