For those just entering this world...for me, "Sway" means back and forth movement of the tail of the trailer. Looking in your side mirrors, you can see the end of the trailer come out on one side, then out on the other - repeating. Until it gets pretty big, you may not feel much in the truck, except perhaps a bit of a wobble in steering.
"Truck Suck" - is just that - as a big semi roars past, everything is pull sideways toward the semi. Can seem bad because it would be the tail of the trailer being sucked in first, and then the sideways movement works up to the main tow vehicle. By itself it can be unnerving, and uncomfortable, but it stops when the truck has passed. BUT - either your over correction for it, or the physics of the situation, can be the "push" that then starts the trailer swaying, if it is prone to doing that. And then it has a possibility of getting out of control. Google all the YouTube videos from various Universities to see the effects of tongue weight on sway.

Something else that should be mentioned is what to do when the sway does begin. I'm sure everyone on here knows this from having been towing these trailers. It still helps as a reminder. When the trailer starts to sway do not slow down to make it stop. The most effective way to stop it is to speed up. With slowing down the trailer is the one in most control. With speeding up the truck is the one in control and will stop the swaying.

Or use the manual slide on your brake controller to ease on the trailer's brakes, if you don't actually want to gain speed. It's probably a good idea to get familiar with using the manual slide on your brake controller so that you don't accidentally apply too much braking force all at once.
