i may be having the same ac issues on my 2016 Solitude. For some reason I am unable to view the various pictures, not authorized?? can someone please email the pictures to me so I can check the baffles. We are currently on a trip and am having issues with one of our ac units. The fan stops but compressor continues to run or at least make noise. If I turn it to Lo fan usually works, then later can go back to auto mode. very intermittant.
Thanks in advance

If you become a site sponsor you'll be able to see the pictures. It costs $12.00/yr and is well worth it. If you remove the six screws that secure the bottom cover you will see the baffles. You want to insure that the intake side of the A/C unit is well sealed off from the discharge side.
I'll send you a couple of pictures.

FYI, this is still an on-going issue. I have a 2017 Momentum and all 3 A/C's had the baffle out of the correct position. As stated above, place it in the correct spot to seperate inlet from outlet and use ducting tape to seal and hold it in place. I also noticed the ducting tape used on the original install is low quality. A lot of it is not sticking and has a paper like feel to it; some pieces were torn off and laying in the shroud.

So I went out and checked the installation on my 2017 297RSTS to see if this issue affected me. The answer was yes on both of my AC units. Check out the pictures:
There are six screws that hold the plenum to the ceiling. Four are under the filter, and two are under the round plugs which you can pry out with a
screw driver. It did leave a small tooling mark on the plugs, but it was barely noticeable.
From this view, you can see the large gap on one side, and a smaller gap on the other side. In addition, there is a large enough gap on the
top of the baffle that I could stick my finger in it all the way across.
Here is the tape I elect to use for these situations
You can see in this image that I placed foil duct tape around the entire perimeter of the baffle.

I know Rob. I had the same exact problem in my 2014 337 Atwood AC. You'd think they would fix a manufacturing deficiency once and not have to deal with it again. I haven't seen GD respond to tech corner posts in a while. I wonder if they are still monitoring this section?

Great help again Jim.
Personally I have been reading these recent threads on the A/C ducting issues and just forget about it because I always feel as though my A/C units do a fine job but now I think maybe I should check mine as well because who wouldn't like even better performance?
I guess I will post what I find too.Paul "Poppy" and Deb Cervone

Nice job Jim. Mine wasn't as bad as yours but I sealed both of mine. They definitely work better now.

Just wanted to add that I contacted the GD factory guys and showed them the photos. They are going to the factory floor this morning to see what they need to do to prevent this issue in the future.
