I emailed this out to everyone this morning, but just in case you missed it, there has been a change by the resort in how your site reservations are to be paid.

Jen and I would again like to thank all of you for signing up for the 2018 Grand Design RV Southern Oregon Rally. As you know, this upcoming rally will again put the West Coast as the largest regional rally with 150 schedule Grand Design RV’s to attend and the waitlist is growing.

As the planning for this rally is underway and most everything is getting finalized, I have had one hiccup that will affect everyone attending. This is not a major hiccup, but will affect everyone with how you pay for your site reservation. Initially, the resort said that all they want is a 1-night deposit, which was included in your registration, and upon arrival you pay the balance of your stay. Now, the resort just informed me that their original way they said we are to do the reservations, with just a 1-night deposit, was incorrect for a group size as large as ours. Everyone’s nightly stay cost for the rally nights is still $40 per night for the nights of June 14th, 15th, 16th & 17th, with any other nights stay at the resort regular rates. However, the resort is now requiring a full deposit of all nights stays of the rally, and each attendee if staying any nights before the rally (Wed 13th and earlier), or staying any nights after the rally is over (Mon 18th and later), to contact the resort individually to place the additional night’s stay.

Everyone currently registered has already given me a 1-night deposit, therefore, you only need to send me the additional night’s stay for any remaining rally nights (14th, 15th, 16th & 17th ONLY). I will need this no later than the end of February so I can pay the resort the balance in full. A few examples for how much you will need to send me;

1. If you are arriving Thursday the 14th and departing Monday the 18th, that is 4 rally nights, minus your already paid 1-night deposit, so you owe 3 nights to me at $40 pn, totaling $120.
2. If you are arriving Thursday the 14th and departing Sunday the 17th, that is 3 rally nights, minus your already paid 1-night deposit, so you owe 2 nights to me at $40 pn, totaling $80.
3. If you are arriving Wednesday the 13th and departing Tuesday the 19th, that is 2 non-rally nights and 4 rally nights, minus your already paid 1-night deposit, so you owe 3 nights to me at $40 pn totaling $120. And you must call the resort directly to place your reservation for the nights of the 13th and 18th.

If you wish to pay this by PayPal, you can send your payment to [email protected]. PLEASE make sure you send your payment to a “Friend or Family” or PayPal will take fees out and I’ll have to ask ya for the additional amount to cover the fees. Also, as Jen and I are hosting more than one rally, PLEASE make sure you put in the payment notes, what rally you are attending and your registration ticket confirmation number that is in your emailed confirmation after you registered.

Yes, even with paying the full amount, you will still be able to cancel your registration for the rally and receive a full refund as long as it is done at least 30 days prior to the rally. After that, you can only get a refund if I can get someone to take your place and pay their costs, which in the past has never been a problem as we always have a long waiting list with eager folk wishing to attend.

There seems to be a great deal of confusion after my last email as the resort has now received over 25 calls and I can't even begin to see how many I have received, that I will try to explain here.

The rally nights, June 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th, does not mean those are the nights you have to pay for and stay at the resort. Those are the nights we get the rally nightly rate of $40 per night and if you want to be able to enjoy all the events of the rally, from start to finish, you would need to stay at the resort these nights.

So if you are arriving Friday the 15th, and departing Sunday the 17th, you get the rally rate of $40 per night for the nights of the 15th, and 16th. No, you do not have to pay for the nights of the 14th and 17th. Also, anyone that is staying any of the rally nights, the 14th, 15th, 16th, and or 17th, whether you are staying just one of these nights, or all 4 of these nights, your reservation for these 4 nights only have been taken care of by me and you pay me for those nights, not the resort. You only need to call the resort to take care of your reservation if you are staying the night of June 13th or earlier, or you are staying the night of the 18th or later and only those additional before and after the rally days you will pay to the resort.

I have also learned that Torklift will be on hand at the rally and will have an on-vehicle display of their Upper and Lower StableLoad Suspension Stabilization System.
