First Timer Diving for the Deep End
If all the stars align properly, should be taking delivery of a 2018 Solitude 384GK by the end of next week and towing with my 2014 F350 SRW. Found a good price and have been evaluating several different models for many months now. Also, the learning curve here has been steep as there is so much good information and at times feel like its overload. Anyway, I am glad I paid attention to details as I was looking at a 2017 model but changed to the 2018 when I discovered the fresh water capacity changed from 54 to 93 gallons now. Funny thing is it is on GD's website but not in their brochures.
I look forward to learning from the many experienced experts on this site. Thank you all in advance.

Welcome to the forum. An congratulations on the upcoming delivery. 93 gallons of H2O is quite a bit and should last you many days when dry camping. What part of the country are you from?

Jim,
I hail from Minnesota these days. Seeing your signature makes me wonder how you handle that frying pan out there.

I seldom post on here because I hesitate to open a discussion that starts any kind of an argument. I also own a 384GK and tow with a 2015 F-350 dually. After seeing how much the truck squats when retracting the jacks, I just can't imagine putting this on a SRW truck. Maybe I'm just overly cautious.

After taking all the numbers into account, information gleaned from this site, and offers of thought, I settled on the Solitude 310GK. Thanks all.

Picked up the 310 today and let the adventure begin. First thing I have to do is figure out all the accessories i need to get and then the proper mattress.
