These steps that fold into the trailer are a deal breaker. If thats all GD has to offer then I will look somewhere else. These should be an option.

Did it come with an installation guide, helping you center up the stairs between the door flange?

    Hey Brad and Steph,

"My wife and I wonder if the designers at GD ever camp in the units they design?" You got that right! The Solid Steps are "impractical personified." Can't believe these steps are so pervasive. Why don't the product-owner engineers at these manufacturers do their jobs? Clearly, the steps are flawed by design. I know. I'm living with them on my 2018 Solitude 310GK.

We are waiting the delivery of our 2019 Solitude 310GK. We hear they now come with the MorRyde solid step. We are hoping not as the Lippert has the extra 5" on the top step. We are also trying to find the hand rail addition for the Lippert, but they don't make one like MorRyde does. The newer Lippert have solid rails on the side like the MorRyde. I'm thinking they will work for a Lippert if that is what comes on it. If it shows up with the MorRyde the dealer my be taking the Lippert off another unit and giving me the Lippert.

We have the GlowStep Revolution steps on our 303 and love them, if we upgrade we will put them on the new trailer. We also will not have the one piece steps. We have been on them at RV shows and did not like them at all. The box to install the fold up steps are on the new trailers, but you will have to cut the siding to open it up.

Never been on a GlowStep, but I know the Lippert Solid Step is REALLY solid feel when you use it.

The GlowSteps are solid too as they have feet that sit on the ground. These feet are easily adjustable for uneven ground. They have three settings for the drop from the trailer and you can adjust them for how far out you want them to go. They go in and out just like the old style steps. Pull out and push back in, fitting underneath the trailer out of the way.

I have a 2018 303. It comes with Aluma Tred folding three step. The first step is quite high and my wife cannot negotiate it without a step stool. The solid step that folds into the door is not a option due to the stairs going to the bedroom. I also don’t like them anyway for reasons already stated by others. I would replace the three step with a four step Aluma Tred. Has anyone done that? Will it bolt right in? I’m a bit disappointed that GD did not offer with four steps from the factory. Many of us are having hip, knee issues now.

I was thinking of doing the same, but the 4 step has the same spacing as the 3 step so the 4th step will be on or close to the ground. I'm going to order the Glow Steps. . . . . .
