Bill, Thank you for that information. As you can see in my post, my dealer is being told something different. And to have also been told they attempted a retrofit on a previous coach and would not try that again, tells me they are seeing something different, or there is some miscommunication. Either way, Thank you for the follow up, and I will be reaching out to my dealer again, with this newly acquired information.

Gary & Lisa Yes I did install them myself and it is a pretty easy job. Took about 30 or 40 minutes taking my time to make sure I didn't mess it up. If doing it by yourself you will want to have something underneath them to hold them when they become unbolted and when reattaching the new one's.

I used a floor jack with a makeshift 2x4 brace to easily lower my existing ones and then install the new ones. This made it a one man job for me, although an extra set of hands would have been nice.

The problem I see with these is . A lot of times we like load things in the doorway with steps out of the way, one person loads in doorway and other inside packs away without having to go up and down the stairs

I just put in the Torklift GlowStep (A8004) and had about the same experience. I used the box they came in and some 1x2 scrap to hold the steps up while I installed. They fit perfect on our 337 so easy job as mods go.

The Lippert solid steps came with the 337 when we bought it used; they are very stable an we both liked them. Unfortunately I couldn't deploy them where I park our trailer and the stock stairs (they were still there) just weren't adequate for us and our elderly dogs.

If anyone is interested in a 1-year old set of Lippert solid steps, let me know.

Folding step retrofit looks nice and is functional.

Hey, Terry - what are these folding steps called?
