    Ownership misconception

We are not actually the owners of our RV. We are merely the caretakers for the real owners.....

Our two rotties take up a little real estate too, but we do make them move when we want the recliners. It wouldn't be camping without them.

Aint it the truth. Our old 5th wheel had a straight shot from kitchen to LR. The princess could come and go as she pleases. Our new 376 has a raised LR, she's too old to negotiate the stairs. So I am in the process of building her a princess approved ramp to go up and down on. She is now 14, about half blind and half deaf. Nose still works well. You should see how well has her moma trained.

Dallas, please post pics when you get that ramp built. Those couple of little steps is to much for the ol' man, our Bichon Frise, Shy Guy also. 13 yrs. old......he's still got the spirit just doesn't have the strength in his legs so when he tries, usually ends up doing a face plant. Our Maltipoo, Angel is a 3 1/2 yr. old rescue but she still acts like she's a year old. She clears all the steps in a bound

It's a work in progress. It's simply a piece of 3/4 plywood covered with outdoor carpet. It doesn't work. She slides on it and won't use it. It's pretty wide and takes up most of the stairs. It partially blocks the door.

When I can get to the hardware store again I will add some rumble strips to it. If I can't get her to use it then I will junk it. If I can get her to use it then I will refine it so it's not too big a pain for us too, although we will put up with an awful lot to make her comfortable.

Understand it's a prototype. The dogs will take a few days to get used to it, it may or may not work. What is really fun is watching our friends try to teach the dogs how to go up and down the ramp, drinks where involved, and about a pound of Puppy-Roni. My guest with the PHD pointed out that I should have put the ribbing of the carpet horizontal, not vertical.

    Bandit contemplating up:

    Mocha, contemplating down:

Lots of things wrong here, besides our helpful guests. It's in the way, it blocks the door. My son pointed out that the "steps" where too big for the Chihuahua's and they will never go up or down because of the huge "steps" etc.

But after all, we only maintain the place, our owners are the ones that call the shots.
