Truck advice
I will be purchasing a F350 SRW 4X4 truck to pull a Grand Design 310GK. I am debating between a 148" wheel base (SuperCab) vs a 160" wheel base (CrewCab). Are there any concerns towing a 5th wheel with a 148" wheel base?

The obvious is smaller seating area for passengers in rear if applicable. Im not sure of any towing concerns. On the positive side, the shorter the wheel base, the easier it is for backing up a trailer. Also, i imagine your payload capacity goes up on the smaller wheelbase (this is just theory, I've never seen actual numbers for comparison).

Personally I don't think another foot is going to matter one way or another one has more room than the other in the cab.

You make a great point on backing up the trailer. Besides the cab space, just trying to find out if there are any safety concerns with towing a 5th wheel using a 148" wheel base.

I suppose if you wanted to you could get a short bed truck with the crew cab and get a slider hitch

Towing won't be much different I suspect but I believe the additional interior room is a major plus. I'm willing to be resale on a crew cab is better than on super cab but I'm not certain. Good luck!

Long bed with two wheel drive is always better for towing. It give you more towing weight at the end of the day. Nothing wrong with 4x4 or short bed. I use my to pull so I always get a long bed so I can have my 45 gallon fuel tank sit in the back and no reason for me to own a 4x4 diesel.

I've got the crew cab model 3/4 ton diesel. Whenever I park in a parking lot, I always use 2 parking spaces. If it was a foot shorter (supercab), I'd do the same thing.
The crew cab is now the most popular, and that's what sells well on the used truck market.
