    High Pointe convection microwave dead

Warmed up some food for a few minutes, took it out and shut door. Turned around to put another plate in and microwave completely dead. Model is EC942K9E by High Pointe. Has been used full time since 11-1-16.

No tripped breakers, everything else is working fine, measured 119v at the microwave outlet.

Anyone else expierienced something similar? I plan on calling GD tomorrow.

Yep, sounds like it's dead. According to the manual, there is no reset button hidden on the unit.

There is probably an inline fuse for the power supply. The cover has to come off

I agree, however, while its still under warranty ill give that route an attempt before taking it apart.

Spoke to GD and they wouldnt do anything on this without going through a dealer. Ive been hit or miss with GD on this reaponse depending on the issue. I submitted all the info to a local GD dealer and will see what kind of response i get back from GD.

Update: GD replaced the microwave under warranty. I thought it would happen a little faster, but the new one was delivered to a local dealer today. After i installed the new one and plugged it in everything seems normal again.

Its an easy swap, if you have external ducting you will need to reconfigure the microwave. It is shipped in the configuration to exhaust internally to the RV.
