Day # 4: Today's post is a little bit early bacause we're done travelling already. A whopping 12.3 miles again, straight back to the driveway. We're off loading the crib mattress and blankies, toys, dolls, coloring books and crayons, pool blow-ups, stuffed animals, playdoh and the kinetic sand. Really, was all that stuff necessary for 3 kids? I guess so because here it all is. We probably could have gotten away without the kinetic sand.
Well, Nancy has a hair appt and I'll get the lawn cut and we'll get serious about getting ready for the pre-rally.
    See you next week CentralMichBo.

Now at 171 miles to Goshen fairgrounds.

Yeah, but you had a head start. I'm pretty proud of my 24.6 miles in 4 days.

Hey Tom . . . What is the best route these days, from your place to Elkhart? We will be coming down 94, but not sure what's best/shortest after that.

Google says there are 3 construction zones on I-90.

It looks like 12 has none. Plus there is a few RV Parks.

I believe US 12 was one of the original US Highways, like 50 and 66. I traveled US 12 across the west 1/2 half of the USA when riding my Road King to NYC and Kentucky from Oregon. Lots of ma and pa things to see, plus small town America.

If you're crossing at the Blue Water Bridge stay on I-96 to I-69.
If you're crossing at the Ambassador Bridge then I-94 to I-69.

I--94 appears to have quite a bit of construction.

Via I-96 looks to be out 30 min faster.

Hi Tom, Thanks for the info.

We usually cross at the Blue Water bridge because it is much less congested than the Ambassador.
We have been travelling I94 for the last couple of years because the construction there seemed to be "finished".
    I75 is/was a complete mess.
The last time we travelled I69, it was really rough, particularly up around Flint & Lansing, but that was a couple of years ago.
