I am comfortable with everything in the project, but mounting the panels on the roof os concerning me most. Do you have to find a joist to screw into or if there enough substance in the sheeting to hold the mounts?

Ok, that helps a bunch. So once you get to the underbelly how did you get the cables into the battery compartment? Is it over head or beneath the floor and into the front cavity?

This is a great thread so I wanted to "Thank" Erick and all those who contributed. I am going to use this "guide" as a basis to install a Winegard SK-SWM3 on the rear slope of my 337. The mounting of that unit to get it level on the sloped section will be fun, but I have some ideas to make it work. I was dreading trying to find a channel to get my cable down to the basement, but seeing the open wall has given me all kinds of ideas and confidence to do the job. I have some automotive panel plastic pry tools I think will come in handy for prying off the panel without damage. I knew there was basically only 2 walls to go down (both sides of the bathroom basically) as the outside walls are full of styrofoam or are slide walls. I just never thought to pry the whole panel off which now makes complete sense.

I noticed in the pictures there was a fully open cavity closer to the cabinet. Was there any reason "Not" to use that and go straight up to penetrate the roof rather than having to pop off the panel where the fan is to get back to the center of the roof? Also, can you use a fish tape to get further down the center to a drilled hole (lets say) instead of running wire across the top of the roof? Just curious

Once the wires are in the basement (basically in the "scattered wire area") I can attach to the coax feeds down there to get the signal where it needs to go. If this area was organized and "straightened out", you could add a whole lot of storage just by building a new beauty panel wall. Has anyone done this?

Thanks again, this was a very BIG help!

I saw someone on the GD Facebook page do it, he had so much room he installed an additional 20 or 30 gallon fresh tank in the same space.

I used Spax brand screws, #8 X 3/4" self drilling to mount the panels to the roof.
6 gauge stranded cable from Home Depot for the wire run from the combiner box to the front compartment.
The combiner box I made from a Cantex Junction box from Home Depot. The mini buss bars and wire glands were sourced from Arizona Wind and Sun.

Temco brand cable lugs for the welding cable ends.
I think that's about it. If I missed anything let me know and if I remember anything else I will add it......
Hey I don't see a battery charger listed, are you using the factory WFCO?
Reason I ask is the product info on that inverter doesn't mention it acts as a charger.

The inverter is just an inverter, no charger. I swapped the stock WTFCO converter charger for a Progressive Dynamics PD9260C with remote pendant......
