We were going back and forth between the 2400 and 2800. We opted with the 2400 and here is why. I liked the smaller size of being able to sneak into spots other campers cant, we liked the moryde steps better, we were able to swap out the dinette for the L-shaped lounge(which was the best thing we could do. We have three kids so we usually stay outside when camping and sleep in the camper at night.

Funny, we were originally going to go with a 19 ft-ish until we rented one and figured it was doable but tight...then we saw the Grand Design and it was decided.

Considering purchasing a 2400 bh. Any thoughts on a Toyota Sequoia 5.7L having trouble pulling it around?

I am considering purchasing a 2400bh as well but have a tundra crew max and was worried about the payload rating which is only 1330lbs. Not sure if it’s doable. With passengers, hitch and trailer would bring it awfully close. I wouldn’t be able to have anything in the box.

We’re a Toyota family and henceforth went with a 2014 Tundra crewmax to tow our 2400bh. I’m not unhappy with the way it tows, but it could be better. Then again, I don’t really have anything to compare it to. My guess is that the new F150 ecoboost and it’s higher ft/lb of torque would be an improvement. As far as payload, yes it’s a little limited. With the wife, two kids and an 80lb dog I’m only 100lbs under my payload. I’m not too worried about it because I don’t have much to put in the bed. My only worry would be adding a generator. Bottom line is there are probably better options (aside from spending $$$ on a 250/2500 diesel) but I’m a fan of the quality and reliability of Toyota.
