We're still awaiting delivery, but I've prepared my list of "must-have", and have already bought a couple of things in preparation. This will be a great cross-reference. Thanks!!

On thing that was recommended to me and did become very handy. Buy 2 25' drinking water hoses and a 2 male and female connectors and hose clamps. Take the 2nd drinking water hose and cut it into a 10' and 15' lengths. Some campgrounds you may need a 25' and a 10/15', others you may only need the 10' or the 15'. This keeps you from having way to much hose running along the ground and cuts down on leaks.

An if you have a Nautilus system, I bought a 3' drinking water hose to run thru the bottom and then connected to the drinking water hose. Then when you disconnect the drinking water from the short hose, the water drains to the ground instead of in the Nautilus compartment. I also bought another hose to connect to the black water flush. Keeps the bottom of the compartment dry.

Looks like all the responders here have great suggestions. I will add my two cents, been RVing for a year now and all the comments that I have read so far are spot on, will add in-line water filter and a pad for the knees. The most important things are prepare for your trips, be safe and have a great time. My wife and I have three adventures per trip, one getting there, when we get there and when we leave to come home.

If your first RV is a fifth wheel and you are tall I recommend wearing a helmet.

I've walked into stuff at least 10 times so far.
My head looks like a pineapple.
