No matter what brand, type, model, or any RV you buy and it does not all ready comes delivered to you with a dish already on it, you will have to drive holes to mount the dish. Then you will have to drill holes (or find another solution) for the cables to run into the interior of the RV in some form or manner. The Solitudes and Momentum (manufactured by Grand Design) are the only models at this time that have an access panel that allows you to run the cable into the interior without drilling new holes. You will STILL have to DRILL HOLES to mount the satellite dish itself This is also true of other manufactures. At this time I do not know if any other manufactures are installing access panel like GD is doing.

Yes, I drilled holes to mount my dish. But, I didn't drill any additional holes to run my cables. I ran them down my roof vent and that actually worked much better than I expected. Wish I would have done it sooner as it was super easy.

There is a plug for the solar panels under the goose neck, not on the roof.

Do all units that were produced after May have this panel? My 377MBS-R has a July 17 build date and I cant seem to find any type of panel anywhere on the roof.

It's small and flat. Maybe 4" x 6" and is covered with sealant. Near the King Jack antenna. On my Momentum is near the side of the roof.

That seems odd. My build date was July 25, 2017.

I'm glad I have the access panel. I plan on adding the Winegard Trav'ler and this feature will make installation easier.

Has anyone actually used the access panel on the roof yet? What does it look like when you take the sealant off? Is there a latch and hinges under all that sealant, and is there a cut out for cables?

I'm frustrated with Missy's reply. I'm providing a picture from the roof on a Solitude 310GK:

I'm pretty sure the access panel is to the left of the AC. Question: How does one open the panel? Question: Where does the opening/channel accessed by the panel lead?

    Thanks.
