    Where Hurricane Irma Hits Florida

Any snowbirds beside us keeping an eye on where Irma is headed and what impact she may have on your winter campground?

Watching pretty closely . . . Our winter park is in Lake Wales, in the center of the state, south of Orlando. We have a lot of Snowbird friends with "permanent" mobile homes in this park. Those who are there full time have been ordered to evacuate . . . as have all mobile home or trailer parks in the area.

Yea, our park is in Bradenton not far off the manatee river. We also have a lot of relative's that live in the area. Sarasota, Ellenton, St. Pete, Largo, and Bay Pines, some others scattered about. Haven't heard from all but the one's we have they have evacuated.

Watching the weather channel as we speak! We winter at Bay Bayou in Tampa that is on an inland waterway. Pretty sure we will be under water from the surge. Some of our full time friends stayed to ride her out and we are very concerned for them!!

Our winter spot had been in Titusville area. They should be ok with the latest turn up the western coast. They've evacuated and posting updates on their fb page. A lot of friends leave their campers on their site until they return. They're all pretty anxious about what may happen.

For those up north , Most of Florida is fine , south west coast took it pretty bad but should be in fairly good shape by mid November , The Keys got the worst of it so call before thinking on going there , Orlando area did really well , East coast did pretty well some flooding but that's about all gone now even after tropical storm the other day so its still the sunshine state , I live here so know a fair amount , I also do disaster relief work so spent several weeks helping out on south west coast its fine to come

We have family living in the Sarasota Bradenton area and they say it"s fine their to. Irma took a hard eastern turn just before them. They didn't even get much flooding less than they get from a bad storm thet rolls through once in awhile.

We live in East Bradenton. We did fine during the Hurricane. We have property north of Okeechobee and that area got beat up.

Stopped and camped at Silver Springs State Park for 2 Days last week. It was in great shape and beautiful as usual. We’re now in Cedar Point National Forest, NC and it’s very “cool” here. Woke up to 42 degree temp this morning.

Come in down to Florida. The Weather’s great.
