Any suggestions regarding LT tires to match the size of the P275/55R20 tires on Brian's F150? There doesn't seem to be a very large selection of LT tires to choose from in that size.

That is a very low profile tire to match in a LT tire. The P275/55R20 has an outside diameter of about 32" on a 20" rim. The closest LT tire size that I can find is a LT285/60R20 . . . but, this has an outside diameter of 33 1/2". That is a big difference. Would definitely need a speedo recal and might get into interference problems.

Another question is whether the OE rims are capable of LT tire pressure. (80 psi for an E spec tire). Another way to come at this is to change both wheels and tires such that you end up with a wheel capable of 80 psi and a tire with a 32" OD. This would probably be a 17" or 18" rim.

    See https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiret....jsp?techid=53 for options.

This is a very timely thread for me. Like Brian, I drive a F150 and am interested to know if I can safely pull the Reflection 150 Series 5th wheel. I'll begin a new post and will list all the info I have, hoping to get some good direction here.

Okay, here is what I have.
    2016 F150 Super Crew 4x4 with a 5.5' bed, 3.5 L Eco Boost, 3.55 gears, max towing package.
    Truck values:
    GVWR 7,000 lbs
    Front GAWR 3,525 lbs
    Rear GAWR 3,800 lbs
    Tires are 275/55R 20's
Combined weight of occupants and cargo is 1,581 lbs.

The Reflection 273MK has a UVW of 7,416 and a GVWR of 9,494

I've gone back and forth on this, trying to determine if I'm getting in over my head. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You and I have very similar 2016 F150's, including tires. You must have a few more extras on yours, my payload is 1720 pounds. Before I purchased the Imagine 2250RK, I towed a sob 29 foot travel trailer with uvw of 7200 pounds and gvwr of 8300 pounds. The F150 ecoboost had no problems accelerating and stopping that trailer in the time I had it. However, I personally felt that I had pretty much maxed out the truck with that trailer.

OSU Sig - Although you have the exact truck that GDRV uses in their Youtube video about the Reflection F150 Series, based on various discussions on this forum, I think most (on this forum) will agree that you are too close to the limits of your truck for this 5th wheel. Obviously GDRV demonstrates that you can do this . . . so, you have to consider that as well. Enter F150 + Reflection + Series in the search tool in the upper right corner to find these previous discussions on this topic.

The "right" F150 for towing the 5th wheel you are interested in should have the Heavy Duty Payload Package. Search on HDPP for further information on this truck. It is not commonly available and usually has to be a factory order. The dealers don't seem to know much about this option. This would give you a payload of about 2400 lbs . . . or about 800 lbs more than your truck.

LT265/60r20 LRE tires are 32.5 inch diameter, max inflation 80 psi. Might work if your wheels are up to it.

After talking options at Discount Tire, they recommended the LT265/60r20 as Chiefblueman mentioned since the OEM doesn't have many LT options. They said the 265/60r20 are slightly narrower and taller, whereas the OEM 275/55r20 are shorter and wider (albeit not that much to be noticeable).

Looking at Michelin Defender LTX 265/60r20.

You might want to consider the Cooper LT (AT3?). I've run them and they are very quiet.
