Trailair vs Mor Ryde?
I noticed that the video of the 2018 Solitude 375RE I watched came with the Trail Air pin. Does anyone know if this is better or worse or the same as a Mor Ryde?

First of all, which video did you watch? Was it a Youtube video from a random dealer, if so, the dealer may have put the Trail Air on themselves. Have you confirmed all 375RE's come with a Trail Air from GD?
Neither is worse or better. They each do different jobs.
- Mor Ryde dampens fore and aft movement between truck and 5er via rubber cushion to help eliminate chucking
- Trail Air provides an air bag for vertical cushioning between truck and 5er for a smoother ride in the truck and less wear and tear on 5er frame. LCI also claims less chucking with this pin box also, but it's not it's main selling feature, I don't think.
- LCI also makes the Flex Air which is the Trail Air with an added pivot point to help eliminate chucking

I think (but I'm not certain) that the Solitudes come with the Trailair Rota-Flex pin box. No air bags.

If your concerned about the chucking and banging associated with towing you might want to consider a air type 5th wheel. We have had the airsafe for over 3 years now and our happy with it. The airsafe hitch has 4 airbags one at each corner and eliminates 95% of the chucking and banging.

TrailAir is the brand, rotaflex is the model. No air involved.
There is an equivalent Morryde product to the TrailAir rotaflex. If a choice, Morryde all the way. Brand preference.
Would I spend money to replace with the equivalent Morryde product? No.
Possibly upgrade? Yes.
Pretty far down the upgrade list as we are not logging tons of miles like some.

A random video, yes. We're going camping in New Hampshire and going to stop off in Merrimack to look at some Solitudes and some others. The good part is we have plenty of time to put this together because we are giving ourselves a 1 to 2 year plan to enact it. Thank you for the information, it is helpful.

Our 2018 Solitude 375RES came with a Trail Air. I had the dealer trade it for our MorRide. My brother has a Trail Air and it hits the side rails of his pick-up. Trail Air said this was impossible - it still does.
