We currently full time in a Keystone 328RL. Great rig, little underwhelmed with the fit and finish, but it's held up well to a coast-to-coast move, and so far a month into a 5 month trip throughout the southern US. Downside, poor insulation, in spite of the "Arctic Barrier", single pane windows, and tiny barely accessible front storage compartment. We have a pair of inflatable kayaks, plus an inflatable boat, with electric and gas outboards. All of our outdoor stuff has to be crammed into the back of the truck, and it's a royal pain to access things. Thus, after months of looking at the 375RES, and talking to our local dealership, we've got one on order, for an April delivery when we return to British Columbia. Weight isn't our primary concern, our kayaks, boat, motors, and various other items currently in the truck total around 300 pounds, it's the volume of space they take up. We can easily fit everything we need into the rear compartment, and have easy access to all of it. The front pass-through will be reserved for seasonal clothing, and decorations, and other than 4 golf cart batteries, the front compartment will be pretty much empty. We have a pair of Honda 2000 generators, that will go in the back. Our current rig is about 10,500lbs fully loaded, and our 2017 Chev Duramax 1-ton pulls like it's not even there, we average 15 mpg or better on the highway, and don't slow down for hills. We've been through some serious mountain grades, no problems at all. All the numbers make sense, that we will be fine with the 375RES and our current truck. We've never owned a 5th wheel, so that will be a learning curve, a bit concerned about the pin weight, the truck is certainly rated for it, but I'm assuming she won't be sitting all that level? Any comments, suggestions, advice, etc, would be appreciated!

Given our truck is brand new, any idea if air-bags affect the warranty?

They do not. You can actually have them installed at the dealer and they will tell you that they will not affect the warranty and they will stand behind their install.

I thought air bags did nothing to improve pin weight limits?

They don't. They level out the truck with the trailer. Makes for a smoother ride, does nothing to increase any type of weight limits. My opinion, they are worth installing.

We have air bags as well and really helps with that undetected road dip. Helps keep things from really bouncing a lot. We have used them on all our trucks in the past, travel trailer and fifth wheel.
