Black Tank Flush

When using the black tank flush at the dump station, it slows things down having to get a hose out and add on to the dump station hose to reach the front storage compartment. So I added a hose and shutoff valve that I ran back to the tank outlet. Now everything is all at the same location.

I just put a quick disconnect on the shower hose and attached to the black tank flush port. I flush first with cold water then use what left in the hot water tank to the finial flush. The I disconnect the hose to prevent any back flow between flushings.

When I do mine, after draining the tank I hook a hose up and close the value for about 5 minutes. During that time my grey tanks are draining and clearing the drain. After that I leave the hose attached and on while draining the flushed tank. I've been doing it this way for a couple of years and almost every time the black tank sensors almost all read empty. Takes an extra 5-10 minutes, but I only do this if I'm at home or have a dump in my camping spot. I won't do this if I have a general dump station. I don't want to hold the line up. I have use the blue quick disconnect hose if I want to do a quicker job.

Great idea, prevents water from spilling out of the black tank flush too!
