I mean, u have to be careful with payday loan agencies if don't want to end up on a pit of a river with cement on your feet. You might try http://400loan.com, they seems ok, but still, be careful and don't take more then you can't return.

I have not heard many good things about Good Sam insurance. We'd received their extended warranty brochures and were not impressed with the coverage and/or the exclusions. Let us know how your experience goes.

Eventually we will transfer our TV through them. Another issue we face is health insurance and prescription medications going full time and traveling all across the US but there are solutions for all these issues. We have talked with other full timers to get their advice and experiences.Taxes still have to be filled out but thankfully Texas does not have state income tax, we will only have to file federal.

We (Wife & I ) have already agreed that when we go full time, its not a good idea to deceive or hide things from companies like insurance and financial institutions. That could get you into trouble and we dont want the hassle. We will probably leave our residence here in Texas with mail forwarding but Texas residence means a visit to the state at least once per year for vehicle inspections & license plate renewals RV & TV. However it may work out because we intend to winter here in South Texas, we just have to get the inspection dates / months in line with snowbirding.
the way it could work out after selling our home and "stuff" we will not have but maybe one loan payment to make.

Reading through the full timers part of the forum, Seems everybody goes through the same decision making process when deciding to go full time or part time RV living. How much stuff to keep, or get rid of, or take with you. Having a place to come "home" to etc, etc. Whatever is best for the individual at the time.

As for vehicle insurance, RV & TV, we are looking at a couple different routes. Underwrite through a Good Sam insurance broker or through an Escapees type plan which also uses insurance underwriters. Yeah, read a lot of pros and cons about going through Good Sam insurance brokers. I guess that is the right term to use underwriters / brokers. Roadside assistance coverage, or getting the rig driven or towed where it needs to go in case of emergencies or incapacitation (inability to drive the rig). There are some options with this coverage. From owners of insurance policies like these, for the most part I get the sense that satisfaction with the coverage and responsiveness is directly related to where the breakdown occurs. Out in the boonies or municipal area. One can never expect breakdowns to only occur in metropolitan areas.

As far as extended warranties - we just purchased a new TV and have that warranty through the OEM (Chrysler / Ram) and did purchase an extended warranty on it, 5 yr / 100K mile powertrain and rest of truck, extended to 7 yrs, it was cheap.
When we purchase a new RV for full timing, most likely the Reflection 337RL or the Solitude 3350RL, I don't know if we will purchase an extended warranty on the RV then or not, depends on the numbers, most of the time we do not purchase extended warranties.

However these days, with all the electronic "stuff" they incorporate into new TV these days and the emissions issues with new diesel trucks and combined that with some of the issues owners are experiencing with new RV's these days (ie axles / frames / electronics, leveling systems) we "may" purchase an extended warranty on a new RV. We'll just have to look at the numbers.
Danged if you do and danged if you don't.

I always liked the sound of self insuring but not the discipline to do it.
