thank you for sharing this idea. After reading about the damage that can occur with a blow out, I have been thinking about doing something like this.

It takes two sheets. I rip them long wise down the middle on my table saw and end up with four pieces. Then cut them down to fit. With the pieces that are left (12-14") you can fill up other areas in front and rear of the wheel wells if you want too.

You will indeed be road ready after replacing those China bombs.

I was very surprised at the difference between Westlakes and my LT/E Bridgestone Duravis R250s. It was a $600 net difference in cost after selling the Westlakes on Craigslist. I cannot remember any tire failures mentioned online on Duravis, Michelin or G614 tires.

Installed Steadyfast stabilizer kit yesterday to my 220RK. Makes a big difference, especially on such a light weight 5er.

Got any pixs? Was all of the bracing all ready in place so you could bolt or screw the system into place?

I was able to attach the three brackets to the 2" I beam. Paul Hanscom actually called me after I placed the order to lend some advice. I got the kit to use the two round landing gear pads by countersinking a stainless bolt which saved some money and still looks great. I put the RV back in storage but will post some pictures soon.

PS: you get lots of options. I chose to mount mine so all three tightening knobs are on the opposite side of the slide out.
