I added the SteadyFast system to my rig 5 years ago. The two supports on the landing gear worked so well that I never install the single rear brace.

Makes a big difference, especially on such a light weight 5er.
Hey we're buying our 220RK tomorrow!

Anyway, I found this on Amazon just now, but it looks like it's powder-coated orange, is it the same kit?

Yes, it’s the same but will probably come in Black. It costs less to order direct from them. No sales tax and almost free shipping. Plus they help you decide on other parts you may need.

    1. Moved my generator rack from the 29rs over to the 220rk.
    2. Bought a Honda EU3000is and installed the Pinellas Products remote control and automatic choke kit. At this time I have a power cord running from the Honda under the RV and to the power inlet on the side of the unit. This way I can run the generator when pulling over at a rest stop or run the A/C while traveling down the road. Sometime in the future I will install an inlet near the rear for the generator and a transfer switch.
    3. Installed the Microair Easy Start on my Dometic 15k A/C.
    4. Replaced the WFCO converter with a Boondocker as the WFCO in my 29rs ruined one of my batteries over the winter.
    5. Installed the Efergy Elite Wireless Energy Monitor so I can monitor wattage used. My A/C uses 1920 Watts so if I am currently using over .8kW (800W) I have to shut off something before turning on the A/C so that I don't overload the generator
    6. Installed matching cargo locks
    7. Installed a Voyager Observation Camera
    8. Installed aluminum treadplate under the wheel wheels to help avoid damage if one of the Westlakes blow.
    9. Installed the repeater for my TST tire monitoring system on the pin box.
    10. Installed a Greystone fireplace.

I think I am finally ready to go camping!

Interested in the generator rack, did you build that? I had asked earlier this year if anyone installed their generator on a rack like you have and several comments made it seem like I was crazy for even thinking of doing that. I have the same generator and it weights less than a hundred pounds and the hitch is rated for 300lbs.
Any issues with the generator on the rack?

Yes sir, I built it. Here is the thread. https://www.mygrandrv.com/forum/show...ck-is-finished

I had the rack on my 29rs until we took it to Colorado. I then moved it over to my 220rk. I built the rack for my 194 lb Yamaha 4500W. I only carried it twice but both times did fine. When I got the 220rk with only the one A/C I got the smaller Honda EU3000is.

I have not had any issues. I have my rear observation camera tilted down enough that I can watch it as I drive. I ran a power cord from the side of the RV then underneath and to the generator. I used a 90 degree adapter coming out of the RV. When I go to a campground that has shore power I use another power cord and plug it in at the back by the generator.

The remote start on the generator works good as does the MicroAir EZ start on my a/c. The only thing I want to change is how the generator is secured to the rack. If I want to take the generator off of the rack for example when the power is out, it takes a while to take the four chains loose. One of these days I plan on making a flat steel bar that will slide underneath the genny through it's steel frame and will then be locked to the tubing of the generator rack.
