Maybe I'll just go all out and get this monster 11,000 watt continuous for $1700.

Go for it assuming you bought up every site in the campground otherwise the noise that this will put out will have you the target of every other camper there....

You'll need one of the extra sites to park the fuel tanker you'll need to keep that monster running.

I've heard the motor is smaller than the honda's, if that make's a difference or not I do not know. I would think that longevity might come into play as it would have to work harder.

Thanks for this write up! I have one of these still in the box. I have not gotten around to installing it yet. I know on my A/C unit space is a premium, so I am not sure where I will mount it yet.

    Thanks,

You can always attach it on the outside of the a/c cover and then run the wire through a grommet into the inside. Just leave the wires long enough that you can get the cover on and off. Did you buy it in the waterproof box? If so then this is an easy solution.

If they all have Champions or Briggs and Stratton Generators they won't even notice mine.

Love it. Want one. Now I can get back at my neighbors that leave their bright outside lights on all the time.

    Haha. Nice.

We're planning on spending most of our time on BLM's and in the boonies so technically it wouldn't really matter if we got a cheapo generator as far as noise level goes... Keeps the bears away right? We thought about getting a Champion or some off-brand but the deciding factor isn't really the decibel level because to be honest some of them are so close I can't tell the difference. When everyone is comparing themselves to a Honda it's obvious why. Reliability is king. We'll probably go for the Honda 3000w. We have a couple months before we get our RV so we'll wait for a Black Friday sale to pick one up.

This seems to be the best deal I can find, so far anyway. $1850 for the eu3000is.
They might get cheaper after Turkey day so I might hold off till then.

I got me one of these with the optional straight pipe for better performance. I loves me the sound of internal combustion engines and the smell of exhaust in the mornin' and I like to share!
