EZ LED Dimmer for interior and awning with Youtube Video instructions!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPX_...ature=youtu.be
Marty Robinson from the Facebook Grand Design RV Imagine Owners group produced this video for a simple way to install dimmers for the interior and awning LED lights. He makes and sells the FACEPLATES or bezels too.
Just crimped the switches and will install this week. Too easy!
Amazon for the switch/dimmer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought 2 faceplates for $5 each plus $4 shipping, $14.00 total.
UPDATE;
Installed dimmers for the interior and awning lights today. The faceplates were TIGHT. Everything went EZ like the video. With the heater ON, I had backed off the knob a hair to stop flickering. Still seemed bright.Last edited by Rivercityjeff; 11-14-2017 at 12:51 PM. Reason: Update

Jeff - this looks like a really simple installation. Most PWM dimmers require four wire connections . . . this is much easier requiring only the two at the original switch. Can you provide more info on the source for the dimmer and the adapter plate?
Thanks

Mine are controlled by the OneControl system. I'm going to dig into it and see if I can maybe put in a dimmer downstream past the control panel. Would love to be able to dim the awning lights.

I also have the OneControl system. Will have to get into the basement and figure which module controls what lights. Last time I had the cover removed I think they were all labeled. Will have to look into it next week on our trip.

Amazon describes the shaft as LONG. It's just long enough to go thru the faceplate and be fully covered by the knob.
Please contact Marty with your questions, as he sells the faceplates and has full knowledge of the parts (and installation) requirements.

Installed the dimmer switch today; worked fine on the awning light, but audible buzz heard when I installed it on the kitchen/living room switch.
Buzz varies in volume as I turn the knob up and down.
Reversing the wiring didn't help, as advertised in the brochure, lights stayed bright with no dimming.
Tried it on the bedroom and hallway switches, same result.
Called tech support, no help, told me they'd never heard of the problem before.
Sent a message to Marty as well.John, Susan & Luke
