    Question on disk brakes

Did anyone that did this swap have to get longer wheel studs? I bought my kit from performance but saw on stop my trailer that with my wheels I need longer studs.

I put disk brakes on a 2008 Keystone Challenger 5er last year and did have to use longer studs but they came with the kit already installed.

I have done two disc brakes install. The first on a Keystone Raptor and this summer I did my current Momentum the week I took it home. I installed Kodiak disc brakes and both installs where flawless. Everything fit perfectly. Both units had alloy wheels. A steel wheel may be different. Someone who has done the install with steel wheels could help out here.

My 2017 337 has alloy wheels and the studs are 1/4" short that come on the Kodiak kit. I am not sure if they changed the wheel design but performancetrailerbraking did not know about the studs being to short until now. The other dealer, stopmytrailer, does and mentions on the webpage that Grand Design owners with this certain type of alloy wheels will need longer studs. You can see my wheels in my avatar.

Bill Halacyn at http://www.stopyourtrailer.com is well aware of the (possible) stud length difference on some GDRV products. According to Bill, it seems that earlier production models need longer studs. In any case . . . if you order from Bill, measure your wheel studs and he will provide discs with matching studs.
