This seems to be a good approach. http://www.mouse-free.com

i would go thru the underside, using steel wool and Great Stuff Pest Block foam sealant. Then do the underside with a undercoat of the product on the link. Of course, ideally, the best time would be just after purchasing a unit and before using it.

Amazon is out of the Fresh Cab that I've been using for years. I'll go to my back up of essential oil spray and cut up Zest bars.

Any one used/heard of "Mouse Magic"? It's recommended in Trailer Life magazine.

We've been using a product called "Cab Fresh" in our rigs for the last couple of years. Since we started using this product we have not seen any sign of the little critters. We found this product in our local farm store. It has a pleasant menthol/eucalyptus/peppermint smell. We scatter the packets throughout the camper storage areas and living spaces. Seems to work for us.

Haven't had a problem in our campers yet. Use dryer sheets and close all openings I can. I have them in my garage and back porch. I use little green pellets. No good if you got pets or kids running around.

I can say for a fact that that Zest does not work. I left half a bar in the battery compartment and there was rodent poop all around it. They get the peanut butter surprise this time.

Joined the mouse club last weekend, one of the little buggers came in through the curbside hose port in the front bay and played around in the drawers adjacent to the frig, bad on me as I accidentally left the port open.

Pulled out the drawers and installed thin plywood which will hopefully stop any more of their ilk coming in from the storage bay.

While I was at it, I modified the door sealed shut in front of the water heater, added a shelf to store a few more things.

I also moved the electrical outlet powering the water heater, making it easier to use in case I need another outlet in the storage bay.

We are reactive, not proactive. Mostly we don't have a big problem with mice, but the time we got them pretty bad my wife found a humane mouse trap similar to this one.

These things are amazing. I didn't know it but mice will follow each other closely, like a conga line. When they enter the trap a spring loaded roller pushes them into a holding box. It catches 3-5 mice at a time. They then remain in the holding box until released.

My wife was quite adamant that I could not kill the cute little fuzzy mice. She insisted that I carry them someplace appropriate and set them free. Hmmm! I loaded them up on the back of the motorcycle and was looking around for some mean peoples houses, couldn't really find anyone mean enough. So I ventured further into the country and eventually found a snake infested eagle nesting area. I hope they enjoyed their new neighborhood.

Excellent! When I had a similar problem with squirrels, I took them at least 3 miles away to release. I got the parents, but the babies came out via the refrigerator vent at the first campground. Since they couldn't get back in, they took up residence in the spare tire cover on the rear bumper. When it was time to leave, I moved them to a tree just before pulling out. They chased us for about 100' or so. Made DW laugh and cry at the same time.
