    Equa-Flex out of wack

Anybody every had the equa-flex get out of alignment after jacking up the rv and not using the axles to jack? Any suggestions to line them back up?

Brett - did the shackles flip in the wrong direction, or is the Equa-Flex just tilted to one side?

If the shackles flipped, watch the following video on how to correct it with a floor jack. It will be quite loud when it corrects itself and might startle you. And you can do one side, then the other as the video indicates.

If the equalizer is just shifted to one side, it will straighten itself out when You drive.

Nope, sorry. Your shackle on the right of the picture is flipped. Follow the information in the video to flip it back. Basically you jack up the axle of the one that is not flipped and the other side will reset.

P.S. The shackles should go up from the equalizer, not down. See an example in this picture:

One other option you can try is to put a stack of blocks in front of the two tires on the axle that does not have the flipped shackles. Then, slowly drive up on the blocks which will achieve the same thing as jacking up the axle. It's worth a try.

Brett - the shackle on the right side in the picture has "flipped". The ends of the springs are both supposed to be above the equalizer. This often happens if you lift both sides of the trailer by the frame. You will have to push/lift the dropped spring end up past the equalizer. Just towing it might fix this . . . but, probably not.

Thanks all. I still have it up on jackstands for now as I am changing out the wheel studs but I will fix it when done by jacking up the axle. Thanks again.
