    Jim,
What ended up getting repaired on your F350's emission system?

    Welcome!

I just joined the forum yesterday. . We just bought a 2018 310-GK 3 weeks ago and took it out this past weekend for the first time. We owned a 2011 Heartland Greystone for 7 years but the Solitude is absolutely amazing! We just love the interior but the 6-point leveling jacks are the best.

    Enjoy your new Solitude!

I'm pulling with a 2011 GMC 2500HD, crew cab with a standard bed (6.5'). I have a sliding hitch, Curt 20k but never had to use it even with my Heartland. The only mod's I've made on the Duramax was a cold air intake from Gale Banks.

I would have thought a loaded 310GK would be too heavy for a 2500. I'm still shopping - but the pin weight of the 310GK is concerning me, even with SRW 350/3500 trucks. Have you verified axle weights?

    Hi Rob,

The rear gross axle weight rating on my 2500HD is 6,200 pounds. The tow rate is 16,800 for the 4x4. The pin weight is 2,350 for the GK, I believe? My old Heartland had a pin weight of 2,050.

Anyway, I haven’t had any issues towing, power and braking have been uneventful. Best of luck finding a truck that fits your needs. All the new diesels from the big 3 are excellent!

You are correct. We have members who are close to over weight even with 1 ton SRW trucks. If you're buying just do yourself a favor and get a DRW. I admit, I would tow a 310 with my new 1 ton SRW but I know it would be close. No way it works with a 3/4 ton unless maybe a gasser but I doubt it.

The spec of 2,350 lbs is dry and completely empty, though!

I've seen posts showing packed, ready to travel pin weights on the 310GK well over 3,100 lbs! So if you do an actual measurement when loaded you may be way over your axle limits...
