How in the world to select a hitch system?

One of the first decisions to make is whether you need (or want) a slider hitch. If you do, this will restrict you to conventional style hitches.

Actually, Hensley sells a slider option called the Simple Slide that adds sliding capability to any of their air bag hitches.

They also carry air pinbox's, air goose neck and air receiver hitches. Air safe is the company we went with and have been satisfied with our air hitch.

We have the B&W Companion and its a great hitch. We have the standard Lippert pin box that came on our Reflection and have no issues with ride comfort, chucking, etc. It is also very easy to visually inspect that the jaws are closed completely. Good luck!

I too chose the B&W Companion 3600 for our Ram that had the prep. Found it for $1,050 locally and it was simple to install. 25K capacity and worked fantastically on our first trip last week. I have nothing to compare it to but is easy to hook up and easy to check if securely locked. I like simple

I'd recommend getting more truck than less. If you ever want to get a bigger trailer, the truck won't limit you.
