The guy you might want to talk with at the Katy HW would be Jim Jaramillo. He was working with us for a while until we narrowed our pick to a 375RES-R or a 3791RD. Joy, my wonderful wife, made the final decision on the Monty which we signed the papers on Oct.31. We'll take our first long trip in a few weeks to central Texas.

It's an interesting story how we had surveyed the country for best price and were about to drive to Indiana when Joy made a last pitch to Jerry by text to see if he could match $57,695. He ended up, after seeing the email, to move within $400 of the Indiana price. I think in all honesty, the Willis HW needed to make some kind of Keystone quota for October and had not done it yet. Our purchase on the last day of Oct. put them over the line. Make sure when you go talk with them to have some written quotes from dealers far out of town. Try Tiara in Elkhart and also Pete's RV in Indiana.

Both of the dealers you mentioned Tiara and Pete's do not carry Grand Design.

Thanks for all the advice. Called around and got quotes to take in to a local dealership. They took the lowest price I showed them plus 2k more-thrilled with the deal. Got 29% off MSRP.

I ended up getting 37% off of the dealers MSRP.
It was in early September and it worked out for us.
Had previously walked away from two other negotiations with the same dealer in March a couple years ago. They were not even interested in going 20% off MSRP at that time....let alone my offer

Guessing time of year has a lot to do with it.
