Percentage off MSRP for New 5th wheel

We are upgrading to a GD Fifth wheel. What is a reasonable percentage to ask off the MSRP? Looking at a GD Reflection 337 RLS.

When we purchased a new Carriage Cameo in 2008 we got 27.5% off of the MSRP and when we purchased our 2018 Reflection 27RL in September we got 26.5% off. In both instances we let the sales people know up front that we had done our homework and what we expected in price. We might've got more but weren't up to negotiating so we made an offer and stuck with it. You could always try for a higher percentage off and negotiate down from there if you had to but I wouldn't accept less than 26-28% off. Good luck!

A lot of folks say 30%, some say they have gotten more. I say that if you don't get at least 25%, you've been taken advantage of. There are some GD dealers who resist even 20%, but let your internet do the walking. I have no problem driving hundreds of miles to save a few thousand.

Agree with those that have already responded, start at 30% are go from there. We were able to get ~31%, once you include the additional stuff (installed hitch, installed extra battery, installed inline surge protector, better sewer hose, and other small items).

    Good luck with your purchase!

I got 33% off not including tax. Using the MSRP price that is on the GDRV website. I could not get that price locally I had to travel for it.

Thanks so much-seems like across the board that is right in line for a good negotiating price point.

I’m with you on walking to save. Where did you purchase your GD?

Thanks for the info. Meeting with HW in Katy on Saturday. They have a 337 there-Willis does not have in stock. Let’s hope I can work a sweet deal like you did! What GD model did you get?
