    Excellent!

Any issues ordering the parts from them, or did they refer you to a third party?

Cost and part numbers? It would be good to have that as a reference for future searches.

    Again, Excellent!

Thank you for the information. I'm really liking the Ariston dryer we got. Next up will be a washing machine to replace our Pinnacle.

Wanting to bring up a old post. I had an issue with my dryer a few days ago. Started smoking. Shut it down and cut power, yanked it out and checked inside. Found lint all over. Cleaned it up. Did a visual inspection on the heater element and all wiring, could not find any smoking guns. The smell did have a small electrical smell to it. Again I cant find any signs of overheated wires or anything else.

I was reading about the thermostats. What is the best way to test those?

If all the connections to the terminal block, element and thermostats were not burnt, I would check the outlet connections.
I never worried about the thermostats not working if the cycling temps were working.

I would be checking the the venting was not kinked, clogged or too long.

Was the lint on the floor of the dryer burnt on the top?
How deep was it and was it in other places in the dryer?

The lint was on the bottom. No signs of burnt lint. No signs of burnt wiring. Vent is clear and not kinked. I'm trying to figure this one out. I'm guessing the motor was coated in lint, so Mabie it was that. There were no smoking guns that I could find, other then it needed a good cleaning inside the dryer. I'm going to test the dryer here in the next 2 days to see what happens. Right now I have the grandbaby, so I'm not messing with it.
