Lci clunking noise
2018 310GK, hearing a clunk or click noise from front jack/jacks about every 5 minutes. Most times it's just noise, kind of frame like, but once or twice a day it seems to move the rv. Haven't found any leaks. After about a week I re-leveled, oddly, the front lowered about a 1/2 inch. Problem still persists. Have re-leveled a couple more times with no movement(?) No leaks have been found, heard it could be a seliniod leaking back to the reservoir.
Little help?...

I had this issue with a 37ft SOB 5er with lippert hydraulics. It only happened when the legs were extended beyond half way. Using blocks under the legs to limit extension to less than 12 inches fixed it for me. Still don't know what caused it.

This is from the Lippert addendum: ADDING ANTI-STICTION FLUID TO LCI HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS
Introduction:
If there is a popping noise in a Lippert Leveling system, Lippert has approved adding a quart of anti-stiction
fluid. Approved fluids are listed by brand name and fluid characteristics below:
1. Torco RFF Grade 15
2. Maxima Fork Oil Grade 15
3. Caterpillar Hydraulic Oil Additive 1U-9891
For maximum results in the shortest amount of time, please follow the preparation and procedure exactly
as written below. Failure to follow the preparation and procedure may result in delayed resolution of the
audible disturbance.
Preparation:
1. Obtain a clean container (large enough to hold a quart of fluid)
2. Obtain a fluid extraction device (siphon, turkey baster, etc.)
3. Fully retract all hydraulic cylinders and jacks.
Process:
1. Using the fluid extraction device, remove one quart of fluid from the power unit reservoir.
2. Add 1/2 quart of the specified fluid.
3. Extend all hydraulic cylinders and jacks fully.
4. Add the remaining amount of the specified fluid.
5. Fully retract all hydraulic cylinders and jacks.
6. Run the Auto-Level feature on the Level-Up system per the instructions found in the Owner's Manual.
NOTE: If the noise persists, the addition of a second quart may be necessary. Follow steps 1 through 6.Danny & Terri Austin TX

Danny & Terri, thanks for that, I happened to just find that info about 5 minutes before your post. Hope this fixes the issue.

Word of advice - take a look at the other threads on this subject and get the Catepillar 1U-9891. Others that have tried other fluids sometimes had to repeat the process. The Cat stuff is usually a 1-time and done fix.

I'm 400 miles from the dealer and I am full time in this unit, easier to spend $20 and fix it today...

Remember also that the dealer will use whatever is the cheapest option. The Cat 1U-9891 is about $5 to $10 more than the other options, but it seems to always resolve the problem after 1 application. When we did ours I was able to use my steel tripod to support the front of the trailer while everything was retracted.
