Question Replacing coroplast- partial or full?

On our Reflection, 2 plus years ago the fresh water tank burst because of a bad Kantleak valve and cold temperature. Brad Smith got us in touch with Challenger RV in Elkhart, who replaced the tank and Kantleak, also straightened and reinforced a lower frame crossmember by dropping and cutting the coroplast, reinstalling and taping. Great repair and no issues with coroplast. Now I had a leak underneath that turned out to be a fresh water drain valve. Replaced valve and cable with parts from Amazon. Also dropped the coroplast from the steps to the nose, can't get it forward far enough to attach across the front like it should. Advice please on whether I should replace it all, or maybe the front 15'. Gorilla tape has worked pretty well, I have used Eternabond on top of slides also. Should I get a bid from shops in our Kerrville, TX hometown? Last, who would sell me a large sheet of coroplast? Amazon shows many options, but not large sheets.

I would probably place a new section up front attached with screws, and then gorilla tape or use the tape made for coroplast to join the two, then heat the tape with a heat gun or hair dryer. Make sure the coroplast is clean prior to taping. I don’t see why it would’t remain secure, and if you need to go in there again it may be easier. Some actually make sections out of the coroplast for that reason.

    This is what I'd do.

Eternabond tape (Flexseal tape is the same thing) is what Grand Design has used at the outside corners on the tops of our slide outs.

Also you can get a sign shop to order a large piece of coroplast.

But I'd call GD first....they may step up to help you out.

There is a special tape for Coroplast. The instructions included with the tape say to heat the area of the Coroplast where the tape will be placed with a torch very carefully. Heat it until it becomes shiny. The tape is not likely to stick well if this step is not followed.

Steve- when I dropped the coroplast on my trailer I couldn't get it to come back far enough to reach. I sandwiched the coroplast with 2 1X4s and "C" clamps, then attached a rope to the "C" clamps to form a bridle. Attached to a come along that was secured to the rear hitch (I was pulling to the rear). Pulled the coroplast until it was about lined up, then screwed the coroplast down using the original holes. Released the tension and installed the final screws. Worked for me!

To all that have taken the time to contribute your ideas and solutions- many thanks! The tape recommendations and ideas for sectioning are great. The suggestion by JCZ to contact Grand Design is the first step I have taken. Even though our Reflection is coming up on its fourth birthday, I emailed Brad Smith because he was a great help in getting us made whole when our fresh water tank blew up courtesy of cold weather and a fine Kantleak valve (Challenger RV in Elkhart). He is getting us a 15' long piece of coroplast sent at N/C. I will utilize all the good advice from all of you to heal this wound!
