Well made the buy. The one owner truck immaculate 41k miles all equipped for pulling trailer and pre equipped for 5th wheel. Business slow so they had three vehicles as loss leaders to pull in customers. Paid $33k so figured that will buy lots of gas before I could match it up for either diesel or eco boost. It is BIG though with crew cab and long bed. Glad I no
Longer live in the city. Now to get used to it and spend some time just playing with trailer hooked up before hitting the road. Big step up in size from Tacoma to this one.

That truck should serve you well. Rock solid towing. You'll have so much room with the 8' bed you'll be taking whatever you want. Happy camping.

Thanks. Really looking forward to it. Only took one short trip so with the Tacoma over to the Spruce Goose. Now can actually feel safe going someplace.

We traded in our 2015 Silverado 1500 V-8 because the rear axle ratio (great for gas mileage) only gave us a towing capability of 6,300 pounds. Our dealer had nothing in stock and could only locate suitable 2500's that has sports mirrors (not towing mirrors). Took a walk in the Ford lot and say a 2017 F-250 4x4 crew cab 6.2 that worked for us. Our non-towing gas mileage dropped from 19.5 to 14.5-15 average though. We expected at drop going from 1/2 to 3/4 ton, 5.2 to 6.2L and adding 4-wheel drive but was hoping for 16mpg. At least now we can easily handle the 2800BH that we plan to start shopping for in February.
