Solitude 379fl Shower Water
We've been living full time since last March in our 379fl as we build our house. Have had an issue the last couple of days, the cold water to the shower freezes up early morning hours. Temps have dropped to around 8 degrees both nights. It's only the cold water to the shower, the hot is ok. We have water at all the other fixtures also. Hate to take the bottom off because it's sealed up nicely. The hot and cold penetrate the floor side by side, can't figure out why one freezes and not the other. Suggestions?

If that was froze then I shouldn't get water at the sinks correct? I have water at the sinks.

Howdy. We also have a 2016 379FL. My suggestion would be to go into the storage area (slam latch doors) in the front and put insulation or foam rubber on top of the wall that separates the "basement" from the utility area. This area is quite open with the water system right behind it. If you remove the partition (4-screws) you will find that you can look DIRECTLY into the kitchen as there is a large open gap under the lower cupboards... All of these openings allow the heat that is sent to the basement (to keep pipes from freezing) to escape. Remember, heat rises, and will draw cold air up through the under-side vents as that heat rises...
One statement is true...The hot water lines in the basement obviously have more resistance to freezing. The cold water lines tee off everywhere. I suspect that the lines going to the washer/dryer area are being frozen solid but you won't know it if you have a washer. (Don't forget to winterize those lines for winter storage).
Because the Solitude is insulated so well the furnace doesn't run long enough to keep the basement completely warm enough to keep ALL of the pipes from freezing. Blocking off areas where the heat can leak out of the basement (under-side storage) will help this problem... Frank Z.
Just my opinion...
