Hey thanks for the reply, we've been away from the forum for a bit, just now getting back. . . . Went back to the original post and realized they were the solid steps that fold up and into the doorway, they won't work for us as we have a 303 where the inside steps block part of the doorway.

Thanks again for your reply. . . .

Billy - Here are your pictures rotated and posted in full size. Looks nice.

I used Photoshop to rotate them, and Imgur.com to post them.

We really like our Lippert Solid Step (4 steps) that stows in the doorway for travel. First of all, it is really solid when positioned correctly. Secondly, the top step is extra wide which makes for sure-footedness. Third, they are very easy to keep clean--I just keep a small duster by the step to keep them free of debris, and to brush off the steps when I stow them so no extra soil gets into the coach. Fourth, they aren't heavy for me. I just "walk" them up into position and lock. [5'5" 130lbs 67 year old woman, no weight lifter ;-)] Makes a huge difference in comfort not having the camper bounce up and down every time someone goes in or out. The Glowstep ones look nice also, but don't appear as solid.

I replaced the standard 3 step with the lippert solid step. Literally was plug and play. Solid step installs with wood screws into floor. Took longer to remove original stairs

Our 337 came with the Lippert solid step and we both really liked the stability and function of the steps. Then we parked our trailer in our storage spot and realized there was not enough room to put the steps down and we couldn't even get in the camper. Wouldn't be a problem if we had a bit more space but we don't. Oh well, the Torklift Glowsteps will be here tomorrow and I've got a like new set of Lippert solid steps for sale now.

I have the same question as Joe. Can someone outline a good procedure for cutting the skirting below the Solid Step and trimming the resulting opening. Seems like some fancy body work required to end up with a good looking opening.

I'll start by saying, I have not cut my skirting. You could use any of these tools, jig saw on medium speed and fine cutting blade , a dremel with a cutting wheel, or sheet metal snips. To cover the edges, I would go to auto parts store like pep boys or auto zone, and check for the plastic edging you put on your car door. I know it comes in Chrome. They may have it in black. Or look on Grand Design parts website.

Hope this may help, and good luck.
