Grand Design uses several different brands and models of steps. Walk through a dealership and you'll see. However, if you're picking it up next week, it's to late unless you're going to pay out of pocket for them to change them. I mean your trailer is already built.

The Solidsteps are much better than the MORryde IMHO. The top step is a wider step and the legs are easier to adjust.

I was able to negotiate the installation of SolidSteps when I purchased the trailer so the dealer is going to install them before the PDI. I installed MORryde in my last trailer and loved them. The DW was so happy as was my 2 four legged family members. DW was not happy with me spending $$ on the mods on my last trailer ($$$) so when I purchased the new trailer I had a few requirements that I had to have and those steps were one of them. When I met with new salesman that's the first thing he said he would 'throw in."

I'm always looking for ways to improve something - it's the engineer in me - and it makes the DW crazy. I just tell her it's no different then her wanting to change or improve the interior design (in the house - she doesn't mess with the trailer though). She doesn't agree...lol.

I've read that as well...I do agree the MORryde legs were not that well designed. There were times, on a non-level service, that the adjustments legs could not be step up to get it perfectly level. I would put some extra dirt or rocks under one leg to help ensure better alignment/level.

I changed out my 3 step to the Lippert Solid steps and love them. I took longer to remove old steps then to install the new ones. It literally screws down to the floor. They work awesome and everyone loves them. It also made it easier for my lab to get in and out of.

Well 45 minutes and a couple hours later, my Glow Steps Revolution A8004 are installed. Had to make some 1/4" spacers one for each side as these steps are 27.5'' and my brackets were welded at 28". After removing the solid steps, I was left with 5 holes in my floor about an inch from the threshold so I made an extension to the threshold that covers those holes and blends right in.

You have to hold your phone the other way, when taking pictures. I know they look up and down (they look right) when you look at them on your phone but when you post them the web site doesn't have the feautre that your phone has to make it go upright.
