I am pretty sure we stayed at Sun Valley RV Resort, primarily because it is a Passport America participant. It's been several years, I don't remember much about the place other than it was a short drive to Petrified Forest.

We stayed at the OK RV Park in Holbrook, AZ and were able to visit the Petrified Forest and Winslow, AZ on separate days last summer. There is also a KOA in Holbrook.

How long are you planning on being in the area, also where are you coming from and what is your final destination?
We started with a old 24ft stick and tin in 2006, then purchased our first new trailer in 2013 with an Ecplise 23SCG thinking this would be our last trailer. That was until we unexpectedly took in a family members children on top of the 3 we had, so we now have 1 biological and 4 adopted children for a total of 5 children. So here we are, just purchased a new 2018 Momentum 388M to keep our sanity with seven people and two 100 lb dogs. We like primarily dry camping in the forest but try to take the children every summer for a 2-4 week adventure showing them different parts of the country. Thanks to my job as a Paramedic Firefighter I get to spend a lot of time camping with the children throughout the year.

Thank you firefighter Mark - yes I would need more than our 28BH if I have your "crew"!
we are traveling from FLA to ORE in mid - late March. I know it's not the ideal time but hoping to beat any crowds.
For how long? well as the winds suit us but we will be anxious at some point to get to our ranch in ORE.

it sounds like plenty of good suggestions from others here in the immediate area. I was just asking because I like camping about an 1 hour and 45 minutes to the southwest of there at a place called Happy Jack Lodge if you were looking at a longer stay. Even Hon-Dah casino RV Park which is 75 minutes south if you were headed that way, but I am guessing you will be heading straight west on I-40?
