Here's a link to the Atwood Page for the 2 reference brochures that have the dimensional diagrams http://www.atwoodmobile.com/water-he...s-brochure.asp . It looks to me that Grand Design is using the GC6AA-10E 6 gallon heater for their reflection series and trailers probably. You could go to the Atwood GE9EXT more than likely which is their high temp model that produces a higher heated water, then mixes it before it leaves thereby increasing the amount hot water available by it looks like 50% so a 6 gallon works more like a 9 gallon. I will do this at the very least. The only thing to watch for is you need a little more depth surrounding the unit probably due to the increase in heat produced by the unit. The original unit requires 18" in depth while the high temp unit requires 19.5 inches.

It also looks like on Truma's web page, that the "Aqua Go" (any model) is 318mm x 394mm x 318mm which equates to 12.5in x 15.5+ inches x 12.5 inches. So, any of the Truma's should fit fine.

Thanks J&G garage, but I only surf on my laptop, nice big screen, I don't surf on phone.
Thanks Bigtrace, that link works perfectly, I'll check it out.Resistance is Not Futile, It's Voltage Divided by Current.

Update: After pleading with Truma, they WILL NOT sell to an individual. Best they offered was find a mobile mechanic and they might be able to work with them to do the install for me. Anyone know a dealer that would order one on my behalf?!?! Seems like a dumb strategy...
I think I'm going to try and see how I like the quick recovery heater and see if it's sufficient. If not, I'll continue trying to find someone to buy one for me.

Try Craigslist? A used one maybe?

The 2018 Momentums come with a 12 gal water heater. How long of a hot shower will that provide? And how long for recovery?

A much less expensive way to extend your shower time is by simply installing a lower GPM shower head.
Isn't the flow rate of the standard RV shower head about 2.5 gallons per minute? I believe the one that came in my Reflection is.
If you can get a 5 minute shower with that flow rate, it stands to reason you'd get 12 minutes 30 seconds by switching to a 1.0 GPM shower head.
There must be other factors involved though because I have a standard 6 gallon water heater, but last week when I took a shower in our 220RK, I had hot water for the whole 7 or 8 minutes I was in the shower, then my wife took one and she never ran out of it either. Maybe it heats up the water in the lines as well? I'm not sure how that works.Resistance is Not Futile, It's Voltage Divided by Current.
