Steve - This is what I have in mind (borrowing the idea from Jeff - JFF&KRN). I have a rear bumper that holds the sewer hose and I don't want to lose this feature, so will incorporate that into something like Jeff has built. See post #6 https://www.granddesignowners.com/fo...-tire-dropping

Yea, I like the slide. That’s a sweat idea. Have not seen that. Well, off to camping world next week.

    Rob,
Seeings how we all like to spend money. By chance, if you don’t mind. How much did it cost to put the disc brakes on your 303? I’m considering this also. I might wait on this for a year, but Im investigating this upgrade.

Hi Steve - Wandering a bit from the title of this thread, so I will point you back to a thread on disc brakes (there are lots of them!)
    https://www.granddesignowners.com/fo...ht=disc+brakes

The disc brake kit will run about $1400 to $1600. Installation I have seen quoted from $600 to $1000 . . . I did my own.

BTW . . . this upgrade is by far the best value for the money that I have spent on the trailer. I would suggest that this should be near the top of everyone's wish list. The confidence that you can stop when you need to in a emergency is priceless.

    Thanks Rob.
I do not remember seeing the cost, however remember the Stop your Trailer web site, and the threads.
I had a couple times I swear, I push the brake peddle to floor and coming off the seat trying to stop. No accident, at least with the units.
That’s the reason I run about 62 mph Max, and keep a good distance to the vehicles in front of me.
I think I hi jacked my own thread. LOL

On the Spare Tire. I might fab up one of my own, and leave the tire in the area it’s currently at. A little more weight won’t hurt me either way. I will look at the one above by Bal, and get ideas on how to fab up. Something to do next winter. On the low priority list. The Disc Brakes, just got moved up to the top.
