    My 303 is wired as Jim describes in this post. Never made sense to me either . Having a "disconnect switch" in the middle of an electrical system that disconnects some things but not other things is just a source of confusion. I replaced mine (as many others on this forum have done) with a true disconnect at the batteries so that I know when the batteries are truly isolated. This does leave everything else powered by the converter if shore power is connected.

    Different models/manufacturers wire the battery cutoff differently, there is no standard. The only way to know for sure is to test your own RV.
